First Time Consigning with Little Folks Trading Post

Welcome!  We’re pleased that you want to become part of our shop!  Here’s how it works:

If you are consigning with us for the first time, please call us at (563) 552-2259 to schedule an appointment. 

Our handy Drop & Run is the perfect way to avoid a wait next time.  We’ll tell you about it at your initial appointment.   

Please carefully sort through your items and select the best for review. We accept gently used Children’s & Maternity clothing up to size 14/16.  (We do not accept items with garage stickers or sales event tags.)  Clothing & items must be in current style (within the last 5 years).  We accept clothing in the following seasons: 

Clothing & small items must be brought to Little Folks Trading Post in a medium size plastic tote, laundry basket or box.  Please no plastic bags or garbage bags.  WE GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU LIMITING THE AMOUNT YOU BRING IN TO: 2 MEDIUM SIZE TOTES PER APPOINTMENT.

We are always concerned with the safety of our littlest customers.  Please check the safety of your toys and equipment at www.cpsc.gov before bringing them to Little Folks Trading Post.

During your initial appointment, we will review your items and select the items our customer will buy and explain why we passed on any items. Please do not be offended if there are items we are not able to accept. 

Within the next few business days we will hang and tag your accepted items and place them on the sales floor.  Consignment period will be 60 days from the day the items are put on the sales floor.   Little Folks Trading Post sets the selling price and markdowns.

In the event that there are some consigned items that do not sell, the consignor must retrieve those items between the 60th and 65th day of the consignment period. Call us ahead of time and we’ll have them ready for you!  You may choose to donate any unsold items to a local charity of Little Folks Trading Post’s choice.  Please read Consignment Agreement for further details. 

When an item sells, the consignor receives 50% of the final selling price.  You can access your account through the Consignor Login at the top of this web page.  Stop in any time for money owed to you. You can take your money in cash or credit. Amounts over $50 may require payment by check.  If you cannot come in, checks can be mailed for amounts over $20 around the 10th of every month.     

Established Consignors

Save time with our convenient Drop and Run.  It’s quick, it’s easy and it gets your items on the floor FAST!  You will never have to wait!  As an established consignor, drop your items off any time we are open.  You may print our Drop & Run Agreement below.  PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT SUCH AS CRIBS, BEDS, FURNITURE, ETC.
